i have been reading posts here for the last week. i bought a 2210 yesterday and will have it delivered tomorrow. can not wait. this will be my first tractor and i am wondering if there is anything in particular i should look out for as far as possible problems from the beginning. i want to make sure i take care of it but still am worried about doing everthing right. i have 5 acres in east texas. half grass/weeds and half cleared/uncleared trees. i am getting fel and mmm. do you think this is enough to begin? i want to mow and move dead limbs and junk from pine trees being cut.

I've only had my tractor for a week so you might want to take the following comments with a grain of salt.
First, it strikes me that you have a FEL but no rear mount implements. Are your tires being loaded? you will need some rear ballast to keep from tipping forward when you fill the loader.
Second, a mmm is good for finish mowing but I would think if your ground is rough with tall grass and weeds a rotary cutter would serve you well.
Third, is your property currently smooth enough for a mmm? They reduce your ground clearance and if you have any rough areas it may bottom out.
As far as maintenance goes, if you follow the recommendations in the manual you should be fine. Be sure to check all your lug bolts (all exposed bolts in fact) when you get your machine - sometimes the dealer doesn't do this.

Ditto on the rear ballast. Very important when using the FEL.
I can point you to an inexpensive, well engineered wheel weight system if you are interested, but even with loaded tires or wheel weights, you will need several hundred pounds on the three point.
Your owners manual will spell the amounts out in detail when you get it.
Just read the OM carefully before you get serious with the tractor and take it slow and easy for a while until you learn the ropes and the engine gets broken in.
It will be fun. Christmas in July. ....

If your east Texas grass is anything like my south Texas grass, keep a close watch on the grill screens. The MMM throws up quite a bit of dust near the tractor, and the screens can get coated quick, which will lead to overheating. Since there's no temp gauge, your first indication (if you notice it) will be the small overtemp warning light. ....

I've had my 2210 since the end of February of this year and so far I have zero complaints. I have 21 acres that I use it for chopping around tree seedlings, moving dirt, gravel, etc. I've also moved snow with it with no problems. I'm very impressed with the power it has for such a compact machine. I too have noticed the side screens collecting debris, especially when it's dusty and dry out. This is definitely something to keep an eye on. ....
